Teams_WinnersJust back from my favorite tournament, Tallinn Bridge Festival. For a long time this was undoubtedly the largest and strongest bridge tournament in the Baltics, but recently another tournament has claimed to be in this status - Vilnius Cup (each year held in Lithuania, in autumn).

Bridge Festival "Albena" - my experience

Daiga ZaicevaIn 2008 I participated in a nice tournament in Bulgaria - Albena Bridge Festival. We learned by chance about this tournament and decided to go with my husband to Bulgaria, Albena resort, to combine the pleasant with the useful, that is, to play bridge and relax. Each year this bridge tournament is held in Albena, usually in June.

Tallinn Festival - definitely worth to come!

Every year, when the end of May approaches, bridge players in Baltic countries (including myself) and Scandinavia impatiently look forward to Tallin’s Bridge Festival. This year the tournament will take place in the capital of Estonia for the 43rd time, and the organizers have changed the venue – playing area will be located at the port of Tallin.

Dear Bridge Friends!

Welcome to a home page of our brand new Bridge Tourist Club, which is specially designed for all bridge players, but most of all for those of you who likes to travel.

Bridge is not only a fascinating card game, which offers you great opportunities for pleasure, spending time, solving problems, challenging your mind and emotions. It can be also a way of socializing, way of spending your spare time, making new friends, seeing new places, even exploring the whole world. It is a great hobby. However, seems it is not emphasized enough that playing bridge can be successfully combined with travelling and tourism by going outside your own country to participate in international tournament.

At the moment there are many bridge tournaments offering you both – bridge and leisure at the same time. Such tournaments can be found in many countries, at wonderful places and throughout all the year.

In our opinion there is lack of information about this topic. Hopefully, this web page will make popular the main idea – bridge tourism. If we all share our experiences of how we travel and play in tournaments, more people will realize that going outside their own country to play in a tournament can be an adventure! Therefore, all of you are invited to participate – write your travel story or review of the tournament, or just leave a comment about the tournament you have been to, or even send an instant report from anywhere – lets share ideas and make others to know what a wonderful world of bridge trips is lying out there!

 Bridge is an adventure!
